The role supports the efforts of the organization to grow volunteer involvement and engagement throughout the state serving as the point of contact, trainer and mentor for our volunteers. The candidate would be responsible for the recruitment and engagement of the volunteers needed to fulfill the organization’s needs and serve as point person for volunteer empowerment & satisfaction.
Position is Salaried Full Time – exempt, with occasional nights and weekends required; includes benefits.
Job location is based in our Manchester, NH office.
This position requires: a proven ability to relate well to individuals from a variety of backgrounds and motivations through varied modes of communication; the ability to successfully build and maintain relationships with volunteers and the community; demonstrated leadership ability in community organization and project management; the motivation to aggressively develop and maintain relationships with volunteers; creativity in helping develop methods; willingness to function as part of a dynamic, fast moving team; initiative and drive to achieve identified priorities; and the ability to understand and communicate the volunteer needs of the organization. Storytelling and writing skills desired.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or comparable experience preferred. 2-3 years of equivalent experience desired. Experience with Raiser's Edge or other fundraising databases preferred; proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
