Jack is a vibrant 8 year-old boy battling lymphoma and as his wish; he wanted to go on an adventure to New Zealand with his family. This country is known for its beautiful landscape and the famous Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films.
Jack absolutely love the Lord of the Rings. He enjoys reading the books and watching the movies, as well as, tying a cape around his neck and holding a sword in his right hand to impersonate the character Frodo.
In the middle of November, Jack and his family set off for the Middle Earth New Zealand Adventure. Their first stop was the world renowned Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Thousands of tiny glow worms, unique to New Zealand, radiate the caves. Jack and his family stayed in their very own Hobbit hole at the world's first Hobbit Motel that had pigs, cows and ponies grazing on the roof!
To continue the adventure Jack and his family went on two tours. The first was a Hobbiton Movie Set and Farm Tour, based at the original location where Hobbiton was created for the filming of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films. Secondly, they went on the Lord of the Rings Tour where they explored Mount Victoria and the WETA Cave. Jack explored and recreated scenes from the movies dressed as an elf.
Jack and his family enjoyed a beautiful and adventurous vacation that they never thought was possible.
